The Belfry, Maxstoke Park & top Warwickshire courses

Coleshill sits in one of England's richest golfing regions. Warwickshire has 45 affiliated clubs, with dozens more across Birmingham and the West Midlands within a short drive — and The Belfry, the only venue to have hosted the Ryder Cup four times, is around 10 minutes from Springfield House. Below are our top picks for visitors; book tee times ahead at weekends.

Planning tips

  • NEC and golf: Many corporate guests play The Belfry or Maxstoke Park between exhibition days — leave clubs in your car with free parking at the B&B. See our corporate programme for repeat-booking rates.
  • Book ahead: The Brabazon and Forest of Arden Arden course tee times fill quickly on summer weekends.
  • Post-round dining: The Cock Inn at Wishaw and country pubs in Meriden and Tanworth are popular after a round — see our Pubs guide .
  • Walking the course: Public footpaths cross Maxstoke Park — follow waymarkers and give way to golfers. Our Walking guide includes the Maxstoke Castle trail.
